Hate, Haters and Hypocracy... where will it end?- Updated

I posted this a while back, a d while "out dated" it still applies.
EVERY DAY I see so many ahters on-line ranting about other peoples Religion/lack of it- their lifestyle- even what they eat!

C'mon People-- worry about your OWN life and it's faults/problems...

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
It's the same-ol same-ol day after day. Whether it is the paper, radio or on Tv... whether it is a media "personality", a political/religious leader or just "The guy next door"... so much Hate... so many Haters... so much Hypocrisy.

Haven't you noticed? The angriest, rudest hate-mongers are the ones that keep being involved in "controversies" involving the very topic they have spent so much time & energy spewing their propaganda about? How many Congressmen who were so "Anti-gay" were caught in homosexual affairs?  How many of the men who wanted Bill Clinton IMPEACHED over the Monica Lewinski affair were AT THAT VERY TIME also having affairs (Including Newt Gingritch)  Those who are so anti-marijuana have their 3-martini (or beer etc) Lunches, and several have been arrested for DUI's, had accidents while under the influence etc..?

WHY are these people so intent upon telling others what to do with their bodies or in their own homes-- but THEY are the very ones literally SCREAMING that President Obama is infringing on our Liberty because he (Lord Forbid) gave healthcare to those who needed it most?
Come on! Really? Because he mandated it? you know that is NOT the reason; or all mandated Auto-insurance would also be under debate (and it isn't)
It is just more Hate... HATE of who/what is too "different" from themselves (like Heaven forbid a black-man in the "White" House!)  Or worse- Self-loathing turned outward onto those who are too much "like" the very thing they hate or fear within themselves.

I hear many speaking of "End of Days". God sent the flood to cleanse the earth because Man had become too tolerant of Murder. Watch TV or read the Paper lately? Even MINISTERS-- men of GOD proclaiming that people died in 911 because the U.S tolerates "The Gays"... or they justify murders that are "in the name of God".

Sorry all-- but if you are a Christian, or even a truly spiritual person-- you can NOT cherry-pick what you want to believe/follow. Either you believe the Bible or you do not. Either You believe in the 10 Commandments (given to man LONG before the Bible) Or you do not.

Too many religions and churches have changed. They no longer stand for the word/path/teachings of Christ... or the Word of God (Commandments). Instead, they twist their doctrines to fit their personal biases- even to "forgive" the hate-mongering they choose to participate in BEFORE they even do it!

I do not consider myself a "Christian" but I do believe in following the 10 commandments, and the basic teachings of Christ. They are the basic foundation of being a decent, moral person. You do not have to have any one specific religion attached to it for it to be right.  As a self-affirmed Unitarian Universalist- I see truth in Christs teachings- yet so much Hypocrisy and Hate being enacted by "men & women of God"...
End of Days? Maybe not-- but I truly believe it is the end of civility and brotherhood.

James 1:19-22
Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger; for the anger of man does not produce the righteousness of God.

Matthew 6:1-4
“Beware of practicing your righteousness before other people in order to be seen by them, for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven.

Romans 2:1-3
Therefore you have no excuse,   every one of you who judges another. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things.  Do you believe—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God?

1 John 3:17
But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him?

Philippians 2:4
Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others.
